When we arrived home from our vacation this is what we found. For the longest time fall was my favorite season but spring has trumped fall ever since we began planting things. I love it when the hostas begin to emerge! One day they are no where to be found and the next day they are breaking through the soil and leafing.
Lilies are springing forth.
Last year we planted a snowball plant and it is also just beginning to bud.
And finally, my BABY!!! Three years ago at Easter, we planted a Dogwood tree. It was a baby and it has never bloomed. Every year I wait to see if it will be the year my tree will grow flowers. Well, this is the year!!! I am so excited. I almost cried. I know that sounds ridiculous but I love Dogwoods. When we planted it, Cookie munched it and I really didn't know if it would survive. Well, as you can see, it is doing quite nicely. I heart spring!
