Running and Weight Loss Myth Busted!

Somewhere along the way someone told me that when you run your body will not crave junk food anymore but it will crave things that are good for you--LIE!

Somewhere along the way I got it in my head that if you run consistantly you will be a muscle bound pixie stick in running shoes--LIE!

Somewhere along the way I got it in my head that if you run you will automatically have a Barbie beautiful tan and hair that would bounce up and down in a flowing fashion that only accentuates my best features--LIE!

I am a sweaty smelly mess who can run 3.2 miles panting like a water-deprived dog on a hot summer day with hair matted to my head and the whitest, pastiest legs you have ever seen this side of the Tennessee River who can come into the house and walk straight over to a piece of chocolate cake on the kitchen counter and woof it down without thinking twice followed by a leftover hamburger patty and chase it with a big ol' glass of water and feel good about it!!!

WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only myth that seems to not be busting for me is the one that says if you run your body will want to run and run and run--TRUE! The way I see it, I'm running to keep myself humble. I am also running to support my eating!!!
ARG! Just keeping it real.

YES! i run to eat as well!
my friend and have this tradition of eating krispy kreme donuts after every race (not ever run mind you, but every race :)
while the weight took it's sweet time coming off (even with all the running),MOST of the baby fat did eventually come off. keep it up!

Thanks I needed to hear that. The baby fat has been hanging around a long time and I am starting my crunch program this week in hopes to send it away. Good to hear from you, Marie.
