It has been one of the busiest weeks for me! I did not realize it would be but, alas, it is and the weekend is really going to be hopping. Remember that nice garage? Well, not anymore! Can you say~ big yard sale? I really did not realize that we had all that stuff in our house! Right now we are just trying to figure out how to display it for a successful yard sale.
Next up~THE CAKE! My niece has asked me to make the groom's cake for her wedding. The wedding is next Saturday and I have had many brainstorming sessions with other cake decorating friends. Thank God for friends! I think after last night's session with friends Selinda and Janette, I am ready to do something, what, I don't know, but something. I am making a tester cake ahead of time to try it out but then will be baking the real cakes early next week getting prepared to transport them home and then ice them there. I just hope that she realizes that the cake will be made with love but what it looks like is another story. I am very nervous about this one!
Third, Alora has a soccer game on Saturday during the yard sale. I missed her last one so Joey is going to fill for me here so that I can go and watch my girl play some soccer. I watched her at practice last night and she looks good!
Fourth, Meemaw and Poppie are coming to town. Yeah!!! We love when they come for a visit and they will be here all day Saturday. My house is clean, Yeah!
Fifth, there is an antique car show Saturday and our church is having an outreach event there. We are going to have our Pinewood Derby cars on display with the track and we are inviting people to come and race cars with us at our church in May. Very cool! Joey and the gang will be heading there after Alora's soccer game while I resume my post at the yard sale.
Sixth, Alora has been invited to a birthday party. When, might you ask? Saturday, afternoon of course! The good thing is that the party is not going to be far from our house, so I think we can squeeze that one in and her not miss any grandparent time since they will be at the car show.
Seventh, Church is Sunday. There are no evening services.
Eighth, Joey's brother is coming on Sunday. We are very excited about David coming to visit.
Ninth, there isn't one. That's enough excitement, don't you think! I am excited but I know I will also be beat when Monday gets here. Can you say, Monday Break! We love having people over and I really do love the busyness because we are getting to spend time with people that we love.
Just pray for our yard sale. Last night at 11:00pm I just wanted to throw it all in the back of the truck and send it to the thrift store. I am sure I will have tons to say next week and tons of pictures to show! Have a great weekend!
