I love my lilies and these, the first two of many to come, decided to burst forth on Mother's Day! Yeah! Aren't they beautiful?
I woke on Mother's Day to Andrew bringing me a Calvin and Hobbes comic about Mother's Day. He had searched all night to find this one in his books. It was sooo funny and sooo Andrew.
I was then escorted outside where I found the project they had been working on while I was gone the night before. I don't know what to call it so just look at the picture. I love it! Just another way for us to enjoy our backyard together as a family. We brought the stumps back from Pell City when my dad chopped down a mighty tree in the yard and Joey crafted us an area to cookout and enjoy them. It's really nice. After lunch, we headed outside for some craft time as a family. I have had these garden stone kits since last year. We made garden stones for Mimi and Meemaw last year but never got around to making mine so we decided today was a good day.
Andrew planned and created the "Mindstorms NXT Garden Stone" while Alora crafted "Tiny Fish in the Ocean" for hers.
(For some reason Blogger will not let my pics of Andrew upload to the site; What in the world? Must be technical difficulties)
In two days they will be ready to take out of the plastic molder and into my flower beds. Truly a treasure!

With no church, we had a simple evening of UNO, Mario Kart and Clue while we ate omelettes together for dinner. We laughed and had a blast together as a family--my favorite!
The evening ended, however, on a sour note. Andrew got sick right after dinner and went to bed drained and exhausted. Joey also got sick in the middle of the night. Alora followed about an hour after him. Thinking it was my omelettes, I was feeling pretty bad until my baby girl popped up with a fever of 101.6. A virus had penetrated our homeschool fortress!!! How dare it!
The next day everybody felt great. No problems all day so I just thought it was a fluke. Alora, however popped up with another 101 fever around 7pm and has been fevered ever since. Drats! So, she gets the day off from school while Andrew and I continue to sprint to the end of our school year.
