WorldSong

This past weekend was a special weekend for Alora and me. We went to Mother Daughter Missions Camp at Worldsong! We were very excited. We did this on our own and did not go with a group but it was fun to meet new people and spend some time with my girl-just being girls.

There was singing and dancing during celebration time.

The girls had a blast singing that "Jesus was their superhero!"

It took Alora some time to warm up to the dancing and singing but she really began to let loose and just have fun singing about Jesus.

It is really amazing how quickly little girls can become friends. This shy little girl named, Alora, made friends as soon as we got to our cabin! We hung out with Emma and Rebecca, and their moms all weekend. The girls had great fun together.

We walked alot to and from the places we needed to go for worship, food and activities. It was hot!
We were very happy about the hour and a half we got to spend cooling down.

We ate camp food! Mmmm...

We learned alot about the Ukraine, the featured country at camp.

We painted Ukrainian flags and made floral headresses that the Ukrainians would wear when performing traditional folk dances.

We learned a traditional folk dance. Check out Alora's moves!

We wrote encouraging cards to pastors on the field in the Ukraine.

We were able to sit and talk with a camp counselor who is from the Ukraine. She is spending her summer here educating us about her country so that we can pray or even go and share the gospel there. She brought a few things from Ukraine for the girls to see. Look at the glossy shine on Alora's face.
We worshipped together, had a Mom Daughter quiet time together, prayed, ate camp food, slept in bunk beds, hiked, swam, danced, created, sang, talked, met new friends, played, and shared. We had a great time at Worldsong and we look forward to going again in the future!

Sounds so awesome! I am not wishing my kids to get older, but I look forward to those kinds of activities. BTW, your daughter is so beautiful - I don't think I've told you before.

The kids in our children's church sing and dance to "Jesus is my superhero" and that is now one of Nathan's favorite songs too!
