Papa Bud has 5
sibilings but two of them were unable to come. Mom's Aunt Regina has cancer and has been out of state taking treatments. The state of West Virginia has a campaign this year called "Come Home to West Virginia" and some officials from the governor's office came to make a presentation at the family reunion.

The family was presented with a flag in honor of Aunt Regina as she was named Outstanding Citizen of West Virginia. She was on the phone listening as he presented the family with the flag and a certificate for her. It was really special.

If you have noticed from the pics that every one is wearing long sleeves, jeans and jackets, I would like to remind you that it is JULY! It was cold at the reunion and we joked about needing our mittens and scarves! Very unusual weather but thankfully there was little rain during the reunion so we were able to enjoy the great outdoors under the pavilion.

There were many activities for the kids.
Alora painted a butterfly at the craft table.

The kids dug for treasures in a giant pile of moon sand!

Look at them dig!

The sheriff's dept did fingerprinting with the children.

There was also a
pinata for the children filled with tons of goodies but my camera had been put away. I have never seen so much come out of a
pinata before! We came home with so many treasures and the kids came home with many wonderful memories of the family reunion.
