Well I surpassed the 300 mile marker on my ticker! And I am glad to tell that the ticker was pushed over the edge running with great friends at the Liz Hurley Ribbon Run! 4500 participants supported the cause and raised money to fight against breast cancer. It was awesome!

Recently, I have been in touch with a dear friend of mine whom I have known since 8th grade, Misty. We both have recently taken to the running track and so she signed up and joined me this weekend. It was so awesome to spend time with Misty and her precious family by running together and then spending the day together back at my house. What a treat! Also joining us for the run/walk was my fabulous mother-in-law (What you can't see her? She is the really skinny one in turquoise--if you blink you will miss her! : ) Way to go--Meemaw! Friends Carole and Leah were also there pumped up and looking absolutely awesome in pink as well as, new friend, Mary Butler. We were quite a group.

Misty arrived just in the nick of time and we ran to the starting line. Thanks, Brad for being our resident photographer and documenting the event. (I have pics of strange people and dogs as well as extremely close up pics of my nostrils and facial imperfections--haha) For real, he did a great job.

I have really enjoyed this time with my mother-in-law! We have been reporting to each other for months about our personal fitness, eating habits and weight loss. I am so proud of her and I am so glad to spend these special times with her. I love you--Mom T.!

Here she comes to the finish line. It was cold and drizzly and even began a full on rain before she finished but I will tell you--she loves every minute of it! Woo Hoo!

Here we come to the finish line! This race felt good and has just motivated us to keep on keeping on. We really pushed each other this time and got good results. We have been running together since January and we pace the exact same speed. I still think she could dust me if she wanted to--she is a kind and gracious partner. : ) We finished with the exact same time 28:56.

We had a blast at the run and are looking forward to so many more. Thanks girls--see ya next time!
