Pray for Burma.

Voice of the Martyrs is a fabulous group who publishes resources about the persecuted church.
We have used many of their resources, which are free, by the way, from their website www.persecution.com. They have resources for adults and kids. In the kid's section there are free down loadable packets that have helped us to study other countries and how to pray for them. It is an awesome resource and we have loved it. I actually used their material last year when we studied Ancient Egypt. While we were learning about the Ancient Egyptians we were also using material from VOM about Egypt now--it was very meaningful.

For the last two months we have been learning about Burma or Myanmar. We have learned about their government, foods, animals, culture and religions. We have studied about many of their people groups, their crafts and also their geography. It has been great for the kids and we have learned a lot! But most importantly we have prayed for them consistently. We made prayer calendars for the month of September and prayed something specific for them each night for a month.
We also made these little craft origami houses that remind us to pray for the Burmese people. We have been relentless in our prayers and it has been a blessing to us each night to focus on a people so far away, a people for whom God cares.
Psalm 96:3-4 "Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;" Join us in praying for the nations. God, may Burma know of your great deeds and declare Your great glory among all peoples because You are worthy of praise!
