Thanksgiving Crafts

We have been getting ready for Thanksgiving with paint and leaves and turkeys! First up, Andrew! He painted a lovely red barn with a blue sky. After it dried we attached a naked turkey and then ran outside for some leaves. Andrew chose the leaves of the pin oak and the leaves became his feathers. Isn't he cute?

Alora began by painting a red barn, a green hilltop and a blue sky. Next she attached her featherless turkey and then arranged the leaves. For her leaves, she chose the leaves of a pear tree which gave her turkey a little more fluff. Awesome!

There are tons of resources on the internet! One morning last week, upon first entering the classroom, they were greeted with Thanksgiving activity mats, and they knew we were beginning the holiday fun! They were so excited!

We also spent some time last week focusing on thankfulness and the kids wrote down some things for which they are thankful.

Jesus, family and friends were the list! If you can't read it in the picture I have typed it below so you can share my joy.

Alora- I am most thankful for Jesus because he is my "save your" I am most thankful for my famale because they wach over me and car for me. I am most thankful for wat God did for us because he has been great to us.

Andrew- my friends because we get to play with each other and I am most thankful for my family because we love each other and get to have fun with one another.

I am so thankful for my children!!! What a blessing!
