I have been looking at my calendar for the month of December. It is crazy-packed with fun and activities that will fill us with anticipation and expectation. With all that is going on, we decided to get into things early. Usually we wait until the day after Thanksgiving but this year things are a little different so we decorated the Tuesday before! We pulled the tree down on Monday night and set it up.
Tuesday night, the children could barely contain themselves. While Joey and I were finishing up our dinner and conversing for the very first time all day, Andrew was standing at the base of the ladder just waiting for the "Go!" sign. It was so great! They were dancing and singing and laughing all night as we pulled things from the attic. Oohs and Aahs, filled the living room as they were unpacking all of the ornaments.
We made the decision Monday night to decorate and on Tuesday, when Joey was on his way home from work he thought to himself, "We can't decorate! Brooke hasn't bought us our Christmas pajamas yet!" Well, he knows me well and the purchases were being made probably while he was thinking it. Andrew was at robotics and Alora and I had two hours to kill, so we were SHOPPING!

Joey is such a great sport and he loves his PJ pants. One year it was Dr. Pepper pants, one year-Snoopy, on year- reindeer, and so on. This year, when I saw these, I laughed aloud and knew I had found "THE ONES"! It's Christmas PAPA SMURF! I was elated!!!
Andrew got reindeer pjs, Alora pink present pjs, and I got green and red with Christmas trees! (they are awesome)
The decorating began and the kids were just loving every minute of it. They blessed me so much as they recalled memories and waded through the MOUNDS of ornaments we have. We laughed, I cried, it was AWESOME.
