Christmas At Mimi's and Bibi's House

Ah... the wonder of waking up on Christmas morning to a tree surrounded by presents. It is so much fun. We always have a lot of family on Christmas morning and so there are alot of gifts to go around but lets back up to Christmas eve for just a minute.

It is tradition that every Christmas ever, the guys all get their Christmas pajamas. We have been known to forget a time or two and we will never hear the end of it, but this year, everybody got their jammies--even Beowulf!
Some were a little more dapper and distinguished than others, but everyone was well dressed. Tigger is a very cold-natured kitty (He is 18 years old), and he enjoyed his new sweater immensely.
Cookie was sporting a highly fashionable Christmas candy cane collar but was just so torn up about impeding surgery, that i will tell you about later, that she just looked somber. Bless her heart!

Christmas eve was a special time as we gathered around the piano and sang as Alora played many Christmas carols for us, such as Away in a Manger, Silent Night, Oh Come All Ye Faithful and God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman.

We then gathered around in the fireplace room to share the true meaning of Christmas. Joey shared from scripture as we "traced the seed (Christ) from Old Testament to New. We spent about an hour hearing the Word and reflecting on Christ's first coming and anticipating His second coming. What was so great is that we were sharing it together as a family:Momo, Virginia, Dale, Teresa, Heath, David, Nicole, Mom, Dad, Andrew, Alora, Joey and Myself.
What a treasure!
Christmas morning was a blast!
Alora loves her Momo! They share a passion for knitting and making homemade gifts.
This year for Christmas, Momo gave her a knitting machine that Alora can use to make her own scarves and hats and, let me tell you, she has put it to good use! She has made MANY scarves that I will show off later. Thank you, Momo and Virginia for getting her started.
Alora and Andrew made and bought gifts this year and they really enjoyed giving them. I am so proud of them both!
Andrew got electronic DRUMS He was very excited. Alora received new clothes. She was very excited. We had such a fun time spending Christmas with family and playing with all of the new toys. Merry Christmas to all!
