Last Tuesday, Leah and I, after long days for the both of us,
headed out for some girl time- with NO RUNNING!
Yeehaw! What do we do when we don't run- we go to Cooking Shows!
Leah and I love to cook and we are constantly comparing and exchanging ideas, she is, by far, the more fabulous cook and could probably have been the guest chef at the cooking show we attended.
There were freebies, door prizes, and knick-knacks to take home
We had a blast!

The Taste of Home chef cooked about 10 meals and treats right there on stage for us and talked us through the process. I was so excited to get some new recipes to try out because I have definitely felt the "cooking rut".
The stage was covered in door prizes and it was fun to watch everyone called out, receive theirs. It would have been more fun if one or two of those called out were, LEAH! or BROOKE! but, oh well, we still had fun dreaming about all of the fabulous prizes we could have taken home. At the end of the show, the chef gave away the dishes that she cooked on stage and after hearing my stomach growl for the 100th time, those were the prizes we wanted-DINNER.It was really fun just hanging out being girls!
Thanks, Leah!
One of the freebies we received in our goody bags was a Taste of Home cookbook magazine with the recipes that were cooked on stage inside. Yah!I made big plans to try out the new recipes. Joey had been gone for two weeks on a trip out of state and I knew he would be ready for some home-cooked goodness.
First up, ZESTY PENNE, SAUSAGE AND PEPPERS.
