Seeing as how our structured home learning time has not begun for the Fall yet, and I am not completely finished gathering all of my materials yet, I will wait until next week to share on the subject of Homeschooling. This week for Tangible Tuesday, I have chosen to share with you, what I like to call "Three Things That You Know Have To Go!" In an effort to get rid of the excess (didn't I just do this a couple of months ago) I began cleaning out some things in the closet. Having excess stuff in my house not only makes me feel all boxed in, I have recently discovered it feeds my need for more. Its like drinking Diet Coke and feeling very thirsty five minutes later. Stuff breeds dissatisfaction. We do not need all this stuff is just what keeps going through my mind. So without further ado,
"Three Things That You Know Have to Go"

#1-
Dust collectors! Many times this means tiny figurines that are sitting out for decoration that are the first things to turn grey when we havent Pledged in a while but not today. When I say dust collectors in the closet I am referring to the clothes that are waiting for me to get all "business-like" again or all "skinny" again or all "80's-like" again. Rule of Thumb-If there is a shelf of dust on the collar and shoulder area of your hanging outfit,
chances are, it is time to say good bye!

#2 Phases-that-didn't-last-long items! What was I thinking when I decided to spend our money on this! Ha-Ha! It makes me laugh.

#3 Stained Items! Yep, those are our pillows. I recently traded them in for memory foam pillows that were better for our necks and backs and I put these in the closet for guests. For GUESTS??? I don't want my guests sleeping on yucky head sweat stained pillows! What was I thinking. We actually had guests in our home this past weekend, who spent the night with us, but luckily I had this epiphany the day before they got here. These suckers went in the trash! Our guests slept on nice clean head sweatless pillows. : )

#4 BONUS: Freaky Nostalgic Items! What in the world?!? This was in the top of my closet. Any guesses what this is? I will give you a minute. That's right-It's Cookie's cone of shame! And I wanted to keep this for........... oh right, to remember the summer and fall when I was locked indoors with my dog while she recovered from awful torn ACL surgery (ies). How we carried her inside and outside and had to put her on anxiety medicine and keep her crated all the time and listen to her poor painful whine, while she ran into every thing in the house and got stuck daily wearing this tiny torture device! OUT!-Freaky Nostalic Item! Sheesh!
This concludes todays Tangible Tuesday. As you can see, we have cleared out some EXCESS. : ) What is hiding in your closet?

I've been cleaning out the excess slowly and surely since I got pregnant with the third. Now I find things all the time that just have to go (esp the excessive number of toys). BTW, my husband is frugal to the extreme sometimes. So let's just say your pillows look clean compared to his. Soon he HAS to get a new one.
So nice to know that we slept on clean pillows!!! I guess I should have the same decency with our guests...I better go check ours! :)
hahaha!
