Karen came to town!!! Yahoo! For those of you who don't remember- When I went to San Francisco with my mom I met Karen and we ran across the Golden Gate Bridge together. We struck up a friendship immediately. I think she is fabulous and being a home school mom and a runner--we have lots in common. Well, I got to hang out with her whole family the trip Mom and I took to Maine and now she and the kiddos came to Huntsville. I could not wait for our kids to meet each other--I just knew they would have a blast.
We met for lunch at the local Burger King and then we were off to the Space and Rocket Center. She is from Birmingham and so they had membership to McWane Center, making their visit to the Rocket Center FREE. We have a membership and the Rocket Center so we were FREE also--great!

While there, we got out own personal guided tour comlete with experiments and fun!
It takes two of them to make a complete astronaut. : )
We had such a great day and can't wait until April when we get together again at MCWANE!
