Cotton Row 5K!

The Cotton Row 5K was great!

It was a hot, hot, hot day and the announcer put out a heat warning before we ever got started.  The 10K ran an hour earlier and people were laid out everywhere with heat exhaustion--not what you want to see when you are starting a race.  This race was not about getting a fast time--It was about getting back in the swing of things and hanging out with my friend.  So that is exactly what we did!  This was probably my slowest time ever but it was hot as all get out and we talked and jogged and just had fun being girls!  I am so thankful for Misty and that we do these things together.  It was a great weekend.  We played, ran, talked, baked and worshipped together.  Our kiddos had fun together and we are already making plans to get together again--so much fun! Thank you, Misty--I love you bunches!
