Open House
Okay, many of you are going to think I am a dork but I am a teacher at heart. I am all about this home school thing and I am all about our family being all about what we are doing so, in true school fashion, we hosted Open House. (I refrained from having a full fledged ribbon cutting ceremony when we launched into our new classroom but i would not be persuaded from the Open House!) Meemaw and Poppie came this weekend to see what we are up to and the kids had a fantastic time singing, showing off their work and sharing their excitement for what we are doing in our home. It is truly important to me to have the support and encouragement of our family and we were so excited to share with them what we are doing. It was a blessing. We are going to have many other events in our home so that we can involve family and friends throughout the year. (Ex. Grandparents Day, Christmas Open House, Valentine's Day Party, Spring Spectacular, Teacher Apprecitiation Day,haha!) Needless to say, even though I am home now there are some things as a teacher I just can't get out. I am still brainstorming Parent Teacher Conference Day. : )

Brooke! You are cracking me up! I love the idea of you hosting Teacher Appreciation Day. Actually here, we have Teacher Appreciation WEEK! So, go for it!

What are Christmas presents and end of school year gifts???? I guess the grandparents will have to take care of that with the kids!!!!
