We took a field trip to Sci Quest; a hands on science museum. Sci-Quest offers classes to kids being homeschooled and so we thought we would go check it out. The classes coorespond with Alabama state standards and cover a range of topics from arachnids (that's what we did) to matter to meteorology. Each month is something different. Being October, it was "arachnid month". The class was very informative and fun. They learned about spiders and then made a spider to take home. A retired teacher, now exotic pet store owner, came and talked to the kids about spiders and even brought several arachnids including three tarantulas. He was very good at talking to the kids. We really had a good time and will probably take other classes there in the future. We discovered, through my multiples internet searches and conversations with museum dosents, that we can get a membership to this science museum and then be able to get in free to our favorite science museum, the McWane Center!
While at Sci Quest I watched my children run around toying with each exhibit and then let my imagination run wild. All of this training will one day end and they will officially be grown ups! My two babies will take that big leap and leave me for greater adventures. Which made me think, "What will these two be when they grow up?" As I watched them play I thought to myself maybe Andrew will be.....
A VACUUM CLEANER SALESMAN or maybe a
Magician. Or even a
Whatever they become I will look back on these days and enjoy happy memories. I will also have these pictures close by so that I can torment them. I love being a mom!

Man, that looks like fun! I have those thoughts of them as grown ups...they're cool and sometimes scary...because then I have to think of myself as an elder....eeek! Great pictures!
