We had a blast at our church's Reformation Day carnival! As the carnival approached so began the quest for the perfect costume. My children are way too predictable. Every year, although he looks hard at many costumes, Andrew decides on another ninja costume. This year it is: duh du duh... SCRIPTURE NINJA--superpower: smuggling scripture at amazing speeds, and sneakin' up on people to give em' the gospel! Andrew did not like the original yin-yang on the front of his ninja garb so he blacked it out and free-handed crosses all over his costume. He did a great job; it was really cool. For the second year in a row Alora chose duh du duh... Wonder Woman--superpower: flies in invisible jet (she is actually in the jet in this picture, but of course it is invisible to the naked eye and so you can't see it), lassos bad guys to make them tell the truth and jumps really high while amazing 70's sound effects follow her every move! She really makes an awesome Wonder Woman.

This year's Reformation Day carnival was full of surprises. Our church pulled together and hosted an amazing carnival celebrating the Protestant Reformation by having fun games all centered on the reformation. The whole carnival is one big game; the brain child of Joey, and it really is awesome. Its actually quite creative for the bearded one! The gospel is his passion and it was shared at every station so that each child heard part of the gospel 17 times before they left us. They also were given many treats to eat and participated in face painting, hay ride and a theater experience. Last year we did not have many people come but this year attendees were tripled!!! Way to go church. It always feels great to be apart of a major effort to share the gospel and what fun we had doing it!

Joey was all over the place all night long runnning errands and talking with the guests but you would never hear him complain. He was giddy! I cannot tell you how much praying he did and how much work he and Justin put in on this carnival. To have so many people come out, was an answer to prayer.

No, you are not seeing double, these are the Wonder Twins! When together, these two are double the crime fighting, double the defending of the helpless, and double the girly-girl giggling! Caroline and Alora had so much fun being twinkies. Although they both look beautiful, I definitely think Caroline could pass for Linda Carter's stunt double. Alora would have to settle for Helen Slater's stunt double in Supergirl, but I would never let her do that considering Supergirl was a major flop.
