Joey and I do not get to date often, why? I don't know! It just seems like every time we say we are going to make sure to date, we don't. So this was nice. We went to a local restaurant, Clark's and had a great dinner, Mahi Mahi, then it was off to the Princess. Mimi and Bibi came to town to babysit so there was no babysitting pressure to return at a decent hour, so we were home by 10:00. Yep, we are old--no staying out to ungodly hours for us. Plus, basketball began bright and early Saturday morning.
Saturday was a very busy day! Two basketball games started the day, both Andrew and Alora played great and their teams won. As soon as Andrew's game was over, Alora and I headed for Pell City. Alora had big spend the night plans with cousins, Abby and Alyssa and I had big plans to celebrate my dad's birthday with some serious Riverdance at the BJCC. That's right--another concert for me, woo hoo!It is not often that my brother, mom, dad and I get to hang out "just us" so I was really looking forward to this. Plans quickly changed as news from South Carolina came and we found out that my mom's mom had been taken to the hospital. She is alright now but they are still running tests and at the time we didn't know what had happened so the four of us headed to dinner at the local Chinese restaurant (my favorite in Pell City), Jade Garden. I ate sushi!!! I love that stuff! This is a recent love! I had no idea what I had been missing all these years. After a great dinner, Mom decided to go to S.C. and Dad and David and I headed to B'ham. We picked up a friend of David's and off to Riverdance we went! It was fabulous! Have I mentioned how much I love DANCE!!!
I had a great time hanging out with my bro and dad. My mom is still in S.C. with my grandmother so please pray for them as they try and figure out what is going on with her.
Sunday was my daddy's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIBI! We headed off to church with Bibi and Momo. It is always good to see home folk at New Hope! After church we headed to lunch at Sammie's at the end of the airport where I spent my first seven years of life, and celebrated birthday's one last time. As you can tell from the picture, they are just about birthdayed out! hee hee. We left Sammies and it was back to our home! Man, I put in some serious driving hours this weekend but it was A BLAST!
