What is It About Pumpkin Pics!

There is just something so cute about a couple of kids holding pumpkins! Well its fall and I am really behind. I was telling Frances the other day on the phone that we haven't even been to the pumpkin patch and we go every year! Well, not this year.

I had to come up with an alternative plan because our pumpkin patch and farm extravaganza has gotten way too expensive. Come on Tate Farms--$10.00 bucks a person and that doesn't include the pumpkin! Whatever! What to do, What to do?

There is the cutest little fruit stand and orchard close to home and we went there! Isom's Orchard--perfect and the kiddos loved it! We found big ones and little ones and even apples fresh from their orchard! Delicious!

They were as happy as little larks just being out with their mom enjoying some sunshine and picking our pumpkins. We carve them up every year while we share the gospel with our kids. We just love redeeming our activities for the Lord--even cutting our pumpkins and putting lights inside.
We ended up with two big uns' and two little uns' and a peck of apples. Oh and a bell pepper that was just the prettiest little pepper I have seen! Had a blast!
I will tell you we went to Walmart afterward where Andrew pointed out that the pumpkins there were a whole $2.50 cheaper. Well too bad Walmart--Not this time!!! I did not succumb to your cheaper prices to trade in my pumpkin picking experience. HA! Sometimes it just pays to pay more. : )
