Then and Now, A Look Back at 5 Years

It was a tough week following the birthday parties. This would be the week that the Wheelers packed it up and headed to Texas. I have been looking back at old pictures and asking myself, "Where did all the time go?" They arrived here in 2005, five years ago, and it seems like just yesterday.

Little Luke was just a baby and there was no Samuel yet.

Caroline and Alora were two and three. Look at those sweet babies!

These past five years have been priceless for them and for us. We had a week of spend the nights and play days and dinner together and helping the Wheelers pack it up and clean it up . It was tough and there were countless times I wanted to climb in a box and go for the ride to Texas myself, after all, Amanda says, "That's where all the christians live." : )
There were countless times this week that I wanted to jump in my car and drive far, far away and not have to deal with saying, "See you later."
But this is part of being a grown up, right? It is sure hard to be one, I tell you!

We love the Wheelers so much and know that God has big plans for them in Texas. They are special friends and ministry partners and sister and brother in Christ and we will pray for their ministry there. I am thankful that we are a part of sharing the gospel and reaching the nations along side them and I cannot wait to hear by phone or see on text or facebook or visit in person all that God does there through their entire family.
We will miss them greatly.
We treasure all of the special memories that we have with them.
