She has had grand plans for weeks about how this "birthday thing" was gonna go down. Eight girls were invited to an American Girl party, complete with crafts, cupcakes and games. Spectacular!She designed the invitations herself- they were so great! She has been reading thru the American Girl series- Felicity, and at Co Op they have been discussing the books and completing crafts to go along side the reading! It has been awesome and we are lovin' the American Girls!
The first thing on her list was a GIANT cupcake! Last year, we were at the beach on her birthday and we ordered her a cupcake from a gourmet cupcake place in Gulf Shores, she was so excited. One problem, she was sick and unable to eat it so that was her first request. It never fails, she has fallen ill in October, around and on her birthday for as long as I can remember. She actually prayed not to be sick on her birthday. One giant cupcake coming up. I found this pan at WALMART and just had to have it.
It took two funfetti cupcake mixes to make this gem! Alora, after it was put together commented, "I don't think my cupcake last year was that BIG!"
