Round Two!

After a full week of absolutely no physical activity other than walking around the house, going on minor errands and completing one sit up a day (rising in the morning and lying down at night) I have resumed walking as of tonight. I have to admit, I was a little scared to even think about walking after the two weeks of pain but so far, so good. I did take two ibuprofin before I ever began. Leah and I met at the track and began walking. She has been so good to me. She is far more advanced than I am but she encourages me by scaling back to help me out and makes up her miles later. Thanks, Leah!
We headed out and it began to rain, so we changed locations feeling as though it might not be raining everywhere in our home town. We were right and had a great 45 minute walk at our church, outside in the parking lot and around the building. It began to rain again as soon as we were done! I guess God knew I really needed to walk so I am thankful for the window of time He allowed us. I feel pretty good, too. I will not be fooled by how good I feel though. It's only walking for me for a little while.

It's starting to look like a pharmacy at my house but I took a picture to highlight the vitamins, natural supplements and pain killers in my life. Ha Ha. Ibuprofin is a must these days, but do not worry, I have a nurse for a mother who monitors closely my ibuprofin intake. Next, multi vitamin for women. This is a horse pill of a vitamin, the biggest I have ever seen. Apparently, we women need lots of vitees to keep us going. Next on the list, Vitamin C. This keeps the immunities up. Not to mention they taste awesome--Like a burst of citrus! Lastly, my new supplement--glucosamine sulfate. This one was recommended by a friend for my achy joints. It will take about 6 weeks to get good and in the system but everything I have read about it is great! So there you have it--All of my new goodies to sustain me. The great thing is that we have not been sick at all this year so far. The kids are taking flintstones and eating lots of fruit, not to mention, we homeschool. So that has removed alot of the germs from our lives. If you have noticed the little tracker on the right side of my blog, it is for tracking miles run. It has stopped at 7.5 but when I begin running again I will be charting my miles there. I will not be putting walking miles on the sacred running ticker but will report weekly how many I am walking for accountability purposes. Round Two--Here I come!
