Last week we had a very busy and exciting week at Kid's D'Now! Kid's D'Now is a lot like Vacation Bible School but with a different name and it only went from Wed-Fri. We did have a carnival on Saturday to close out the week! Traci is our fearless leader and she does a fantabulous job every year putting it together. What is so awesome is that I know that my kids are getting sound biblical teaching--not fluff. Traci and all of the leaders really work hard to make sure every video and every song and every Bible study is right on with God's Word and I cannot tell you how thankful I am! The gospel is becoming more and more watered down around the U.S and it is such a blessing to know that my kids are going to get saturated with God's Word at D'Now! And from the pictures--you can see that sharing in the fellowship of the Spirit--is FUN, too!
The kids had lots of energy! We worshipped together through music and Bible study. We had crafts, and games and food and fun!
Alora and Caroline had a great time together. They spent most of their time linked together.
Miss Traci was the silliest. Each morning before we began our worship time, we had a wakeup time when we sang a silly song and told some silly jokes. The kids' favorite silly song of the week was "Boom Chicka Rocka" We are still singing it in our house this week. Thank you, Miss Traci!
There were lots of great helpers! These guys are the stars of the new hit video, "The Prodigal Son". It was definitely Oscar material--short film, of course!
Julie and the girls were showing their moves.
I had the opportunity to lead the kids during the musical worship time. It really was a great time to sing together to our Father with such songs as "You are My All in All" "Knowing You" and "Lord You Are". The theme was Hidden Treasure and the kids spent the three days learning about the parables of Jesus. My kids learned so much!
We ended the week with a carnival! We had a good group of visiting families and many of us were able to converse with new people. Dana and Leigh ran the crafts.
Joey manned the photo booth.
I spent my time Face Painting. It was so fun!
All the kids were showing off their various paintings. I painted faces and arms and hands non stop for 3 hours and loved every minute of it!
We also had fishing, basketball, golf and two inflatables as well as, popcorn, candy and cokes! It was a good event and we made some good contacts. Yay for D'NOW week!
