Beach: Day Two

On Day Two we were headed to the Shrimp Festival for a day of browsing and playing.

Gotta love the sea oats. There was no red flag today, only yellow, so we were back in business.

There were tons of free things for the kids to do at the festival. They made these cool safety shirts. They made badges and bracelets and bookmarks and were able to take home all kinds of goodies absolutely free! Yeah, just the way we like it. Funny Story-For lunch we found fabulous seafood gyros that we were carrying back to the picnic table beach. My arms and hands were completely full when I stepped down over an edge to land on the beach when I totally just laid out! I busted it and gyro with sour cream and sauces smeared all over me! I just laid there laughing while very kind older men came to the rescue. Joey couldn't help because his arms were full too. One man told me, "That was the craziest way to feed a seagull that I have ever seen." I was so embarrassed and my shirt was ruined. I had sour cream running down my legs! It was quite hilarious. Thank goodness we did not have the camera!

The kids loved the hotel pool! They have become very confident swimmers this year so it was very fun and relaxing for us.

Check out that jump! After swimming we headed to the movies to see "The Secrets of Johnathan Sperry." What a great movie! But let me warn you-it is a sad one. Even Andrew was crying. It was so good though. After the movie we were feeling very mellow so we went to MELLOW MUSHROOM for the best pizza ever! I cannot rave enough. Andrew just about ate a whole pizza to himself! We loved it! I forgot my camera on this very picturesque day but the memories are in our heads.
