Andrew has been working towards the rank of Boy Scouts for quite some time. He is ten years old and the only way that at ten year old can promote from cubscout to boyscout is to earn the "Arrow of Light". To do this he must earn 20 activity pins, one of those is the Readyman pin. To earn the Readyman pin, one must complete multiple requirements that deal with CPR and First Aid. So, while I was in Atlanta, Mimi took over. Andrew and Alora learned how to help someone who is choking, check pulses, assist someone who has a burn, identify the items in a first aid kit and much, much more.

Mimi taught Andrew and Alora how to take the gloves off without touching blood. Andrew is demonstrating how to do this. Mr. Cool, Calm and Collected is also whistling while working to show his complete calmness in a panic situation.

Alora gives it a go. She is steady and calm. One must be Clear, Calm and Courageous when there is an emergency. Mimi is also giving them their own first aid kits with necessary supplies. I love homeschooling and am so thankful Nurse Mimi could help us out with her awesome nursing skills.
The kids loved it!
