Beginning last year, my mother-in-law took all of her daugthers-in-law to the beach for girl time. We were only sad about one thing-that my sister-in-law, Tammy, was unable to attend due to conflicting plans.
I don't think I have ever stayed all day on the beach but that is what we did wanting to soak up every ray for optimum relaxation and refreshning.
Our second day there we never even left to eat, we just stayed at the condo and beach the entire time.
We laughed, we cried, we were GIRLS.
A part of every trip to the beach is fine food and we had our share. The first night we ate at The Original Oyster House, and then the third night we were off to LULU's.
Yummy seafood for sure!

Mom T. is so good to us, treating us to everything. We are so thankful for this trip and the time we get to spend together.

It was truly a blessing.

While walking on the beach we were able to really see some wild life. Jellyfish swam in the evenings, a most interesting kind, and we spotted two manta rays. Crabs were plentifyl even during the day. We watched two dig holes to make their homes. Digging and throwing sand-it was fun to watch.
Plentiful food, plentiful wild life, plentiful fellowship and plentiful scenery. The sunsets and sunrises did not dissappoint.
I just can't escape without taking a picture of a dune with some sea oats. Something about it just screams, "Glory"!
I was able to see and touch my first tarball. Not quite what I expected. I am not sure what I was thinking but they look like small brown rocks. To the touch, they are sticky and oily, but small. They did not hinder our trip or make us stay out of the water. They were just--there. Clean up crews were everywhere but they were not a distraction.

Red flag was out the whole time for undertow and currents, but that didn't stop us or anybody else from getting in. Sand bars were plentiful and we did not swim out far. We just enjoyed the coolness of the water closer to the shore.
One night we ventured over to the Wharf because I have never been. Pretty cool but everything was closed. Well, everything but the ferris wheel. Arg-The heights!

Of course, we got on but I wasn't letting go of the pole, as if that was going to save me from plummeting to the earth in a stray bucket.

It was fun though.
After getting off the ride, we had our faces plastered to the glass of the ticket booth soaking up the final moments of the Auburn game. What a nail biter! We ran back to the car after SC. made their final kick that we thought was good, sending us to double overtime, to listen to it on the radio. But on the way the cheers down the street went up for the kick was no good! Apparently others at the Wharf were watching too.
