Salt Maps!

It has been a while since we have had a good hands-on project in the house but believe me, they are a comin' quick. We are about to be project central!

For starters, SALT MAPS!

We mapped out the Holy Land and flagged a few of the spots where we have been studying- Masada, Nahel Haver, Qumon, Sea of Galilee, The Meditteranean and the Dead Sea.

Salt, flour, food coloring, cardboard, toothpicks and sticky labels is all that was needed.

They turned out awesome! I used the Wilton's brown gel to make the brown and it really looked looked like terrain. Pretty cool. This took about 45 minutes but the kids really enjoyed making them. When they hardened we took pictures of them to add to our history notebook.
Great job, kiddos!
